Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026

1. Overview

FORGE is a Context Engineering CLI that runs entirely on your local machine using your own Claude Code OAuth session. FORGE does not operate servers, does not collect telemetry, and does not transmit your code or prompts to any FORGE-controlled infrastructure. The only network calls made during a FORGE run are between the CLI and Anthropic's API — using your own credentials.

2. Data Processed by the CLI

When you run FORGE commands (plan, spec, implement), the CLI reads files from your local project directory and sends them as context to Claude via the Claude Agent SDK. This exchange is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. FORGE has no access to this data and stores nothing beyond what is written to your local filesystem as output artifacts.

3. Website Analytics

The programmingonmars.io website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behaviour. This may include browser type, pages visited, and referral source. No personally identifiable information is collected beyond what Google Analytics captures by default. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

4. Early Access Form

If you submit your email address to join the FORGE early access list, that address is collected via Web3Forms and stored solely to send you install instructions and release notifications. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf and is governed by its own privacy policy. Your email is not used for any other purpose and you can request removal at any time by emailing [email protected].

5. Cookies

The website does not use proprietary cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies as part of its standard operation. No cookies are set by the FORGE CLI.

6. Third-Party Services

FORGE relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies: Anthropic (AI inference — your Claude Code session), Google Analytics (website usage analytics). FORGE does not integrate with any other external services.

7. Alpha Status

FORGE is currently in alpha. This policy reflects current data practices. As the product evolves, this document will be updated with a revised effective date. Continued use of the CLI or website after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
